After a measly 230 hours, the thrust washer on my 150 hp Honda gave way and my engine is dead. Yes, it is well beyond the warranty period, in time, but I don't expect a Honda to tear itself apart after 230 hrs. According to the head mechanic at my local dealer: (1) No...

I would like to start by saying I have owned Honda engines for over 40 years and have never had a problem with one until this outboard. Within the first month of purchase it started leaking oil and began to run rough. I returned it to the service center a couple...

This motor was purchased new in the fall of 1999. Sometime after that Honda Marine issued a 10 year extended warranty on these motors. I never received any notice about this or I would have taken the motor in for inspection at the time. In the fall of 2013 the engine...

I have a 150 hp Honda outboard with 117 hr. It has low compression in 1 cylinder so runs terrible. My complaint is that here in B.C. there are no dealers that will repair my motor except at Vancouver. I live in the Okanagan and have to travel ( 4 trips) over 1000 km...

I had, yes, had, a Honda 130 outboard 4-stroke engine on my Proline 20ft. I did all maintenance BY THE BOOK, and it corroded an eraser sized hole in the exhaust port that let water in and fatally seized the engine. I called Honda Marine, told them the engine only had...

Brand new twin 60 OBs. Will not connect to MFD. No way to get tecnical support from honda. They rely on their dealers who don't have a clue. If I had known that there was no support, I would have spent less and went with a different company. Way to disappoint a new customer, honda!
